# Playing on your own

> Solo hands against the dealer, at your own pace.

Solo play is one seat, one dealer, no timers. Nothing moves until you move it,
so you can take as long as you like over a decision.

Tap **Play · SOL** or **Play · ETH** on the landing screen.

## Betting on the felt

Betting happens on the table, the way it does in a real blackjack game. Tap
chips in the rack and they fly to the spot and stack there.

![The betting screen: the felt with betting spots, the chip rack below, and the minimum and maximum printed on the table.](https://mintcdn.com/aceup/9Or0tHJTM0oGeA8-/images/screens/solo-betting.webp?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=9Or0tHJTM0oGeA8-\&q=85\&s=df58143bd567b5b263b096839889b164)

| Control | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Undo** | Removes the last chip you placed |
| **Rebet** | Repeats your previous bet |
| **Clear** | Empties every spot |
| **Deal** | Commits — and names the total first |

Deal always names what you are about to stake, split between the main bet and
any side bets: `Deal · 0.16 ◎` with `0.15 bet + 0.01 side` underneath. You never
commit to a number you have not been shown.

The table minimum and maximum are printed on the felt. If your own balance is
the binding cap rather than the table, the felt says that instead, in words.

## Playing the hand

![A live hand: the dealer's cards and total, the player's cards and total, and the Hit, Stand, Double and Split buttons.](https://mintcdn.com/aceup/9Or0tHJTM0oGeA8-/images/screens/hand-live.webp?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=9Or0tHJTM0oGeA8-\&q=85\&s=5b2c433187fdc42083eb471311a69ab3)

Four actions, and one is filled gold — the primary. An action that does not
apply to this hand is faded **with its reason attached**: `Split · not a pair`,
not a silently dead button.

Double states the resulting stake before you tap it — `Double to 0.10 ◎` — so
there is no surprise about what you just risked.

## Results

The result panel shows the arithmetic, not just a number: `0.05 × 3:2 · Balance
1.3150 ◎`. If you placed a side bet, its outcome is on its own line, win or lose.

![A result panel showing the outcome, the arithmetic behind the payout, and the Deal again, Change bet and Verify hand actions.](https://mintcdn.com/aceup/9Or0tHJTM0oGeA8-/images/screens/result.webp?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=9Or0tHJTM0oGeA8-\&q=85\&s=c479611367e835680d5c51136ec3f79d)

From there: **Deal again** at the same stake, **Change bet**, or **Verify hand**
to check the round you just played.

## Leaving and coming back

A live hand survives you closing the app. Reopen it and the landing screen
offers **Resume** instead of Play, showing the hand as it stands. You cannot
start a new bet over a hand that is still running.
