# Age and terms

> The one gate before your first bet, and what it records.

Before your first bet, Ace Up asks you to confirm two things on one screen:

* You are **21 or over**.
* You accept the [player terms](https://aceupgame.com/terms/).

One tap covers both. You are not asked again unless the terms change.

## What is recorded

When you accept, Ace Up stores the time, your Telegram user ID, the version of
the terms you accepted, and the country your connection appeared to come from.
That record is what lets us show, later, that you were asked.

## When you are asked again

The terms carry a version number. When the version changes, you are asked to
accept the new one before your next bet.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Re-accepting gates **betting only**. If new terms are pending, you can still
> open your wallet and withdraw your balance without accepting them. Your money
> is never held behind a document.

The current version is **v2**, published 2026-09-11. It raised the age
requirement from 18 to 21, which is why everyone who accepted the earlier
version was asked again.

## Where you can play

There is no country block on the pilot. The capability exists and is switched
off, so if a country is ever added to the list, the effect is the same as
self-exclusion: you cannot bet, and you can still withdraw everything you hold.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Ace Up is a real-money game. Only play with money you can afford to lose, and
> read [Playing responsibly](https://aceup.mintlify.site/safe/limits.md) — the limits, reality checks and the
> break tools are all real, and they are all yours to set.
