/newapp is done, your venue has a direct link:
Why a link and not a button
In a private chat, a bot can show a button that opens a Mini App directly. In a group, Telegram does not honour those buttons — so Ace Up uses a normal link button to the direct-link Mini App instead. This is a Telegram rule, not a limitation of Ace Up, and it is why the/newapp
step matters: without it, there is no direct link to point a group at.
What your members see
They tap the link, the Mini App opens on your venue, and they see your venue’s name at the top. First-timers get the age and terms gate once, then the lobby. Their balance is global — someone who already has an Ace Up balance from anywhere else arrives with it, ready to play, with nothing to deposit again. What your bot posts in the group
Three kinds of post, each one a switch on your Settings tab under In your group:
A welcome line of your own (up to 300 characters) goes on the card and on
your bot’s welcome message.
If your bot is removed from the group, the link is dropped and you get a message
from @Aceupgamebot.
Wins are announced. Losses never are. There is no setting to change that,
and there will not be. A bot posting somebody’s losses to a group of their
friends is not a feature.Balances and addresses are never posted either.
Growing it
Things that work, in rough order of effect:- Pin the link. A link in a chat scrolls away in an hour.
- Play at the house tables yourself and talk about it. You cannot play at your own venue, but you can play at @Aceupgamebot and your members can see you are not asking them to do something you would not.
- Set the table minimum low enough for your group. The default Lounge minimum suits most communities; a group that finds it high will not say so, they will just not play.
- Turn on big-win posts once the group is warm. A win posted in chat is the single best advertisement a venue has, which is why the threshold is worth tuning rather than leaving at zero.
