The paused-venue screen a player sees, offering the house tables and their wallet as two real ways out.

Pause

Pausing stops new rounds at your venue. It is reversible, it takes effect immediately, and you can do it yourself without asking anyone. Use it when you are away, when your group is doing something else, or when you want to change the tables without people mid-hand. Rounds already in progress finish. They are not cancelled. While paused, the card in your group says so instead of advertising open tables.

Close

Closing is permanent from your side and needs a confirmation that lists every consequence in order. Closing is not deletion. These all survive it:
  • Every player’s balance
  • Every player’s history
  • The fairness proof of every round ever dealt at your venue
  • Your statements and payout records
  • Any final week still owed to you, which closes and pays normally

What your players see

Either way, a player opening your venue gets a screen that offers two real ways out: the house tables, and their wallet.
Money is never trapped by a venue’s status. A player can always withdraw their full balance from a paused or closed venue, and can always play at the house tables instead. Their balance was never held by your venue in the first place — it is global.
That is why an owner is allowed to pause or close a venue without an admin: there is nothing in the action that can touch anyone’s money.

What stops

Reopening after a close

A closed venue cannot be reactivated from the dashboard. Message support — it is a conversation with a person, not a button, because closing was confirmed as permanent.

If your bot is revoked instead

Revoking the token in BotFather has the same practical effect as a pause: the bot stops answering and no rounds run. Paste a fresh token to @Aceupgamebot and your venue comes back with its links unchanged.

Rotating your token

How rotation keeps a live venue running.
